Team

Albert Weichselbraun is a Professor of Information Science at the University of Applied Science Chur. After completing two Master degrees in Economics and Chemical Engineering, his doctoral thesis focused on ontology-based text classification. Before starting his position at Vienna University of Business Administration he was a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia, where he joined webLyzard, a platform to gather, aggregate and analyze unstructured textual data from publicly available Web resources.

He leads webLyzard's technical development, with a special focus on the analytical methods involved. His current research focuses on ontology evolution and learning, text mining and the application of semantic technologies to geospatial and semantic information retrieval.
